Some bands are poised and ready to become the premier upstarts in the next wave of the notorious and over-coined Garage Rock Revival. The Datsuns have been told, by the English, that they are that band. Somebody forgot to mention to the Datsuns that there is a fine line between retro/cool and over-the-top. OK, let's review. They have a song called "MF from hell". You all can guess what the MF is for. That does not float my boat at all. Perhaps a few of you rock aficionados feel that there is nothing wrong with that song title. Under different circumstances, I would tend to agree with you, except the rest of the lyrics are just as drab and agro, not contrasting the title at all.
Alright, enough with the fifth grade vocabulary. This is an opinion based art form, and I don't have to take it anymore. The Datsuns suck, plain and simple. They could be the worst band I've heard in a year. Maybe even two years. I wonder how they even got a record deal. Tone those Marshalls a little less flat, ditch the monotone bass player, find a singer who can actually formulate something melodious, and make something musical.
