Tipsy
"Remix Party"
(Asphodel Records)
Who doesn't own an Optiganally Yours disc? Right. Nobody Does. Could this
release by Tipsy be merely a veritable cacophony, only merited at your next
3-4 kegger? Not unless you happen to reside on the notorious frond of pretentious
partiers who'd rather rock a house remix than other's triumphs, only slightly
manipulated. Actually, this is only how I mostly feel. "Remix Party"
has new versions of Matmos, High Llamas, and Optiganally Yours songs that
are all quite good. Tim Digulla and David Gardner have been cutting beats
and mastering sonic manipulation for half a decade now. Their prior releases
seem to be a better listen than "Remix Party", so we recommend you
spend your hard earned cash elsewhere.
