FONTAINES D.C. - Dopamine Chamber CD/LP/CASS (XL Recordings)
Fontaines D.C. release their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, on October 16, 2026 via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, it follows 2024's Romance, the album that took the Dublin five-piece from critical favorites to one of the biggest bands in the world. Romance debuted at No. 2 in the UK - since certified platinum there - and delivered the band their first entry on the Billboard 200. It earned two GRAMMY nominations (Best Rock Album, and Best Alternative Music Performance for Starburster) and won International Group of the Year at the 2025 BRIT Awards, the band's second BRIT win. Dopamine Chamber arrives like a constellation behind undulating sighs of smog: potent balladry, anthemic melodies glinting through the murk. In a world tipping towards collapse, it asks how pleasure mutates amid peril-and what our pursuit of it reveals about us. It's the sound of a band moving decisively away from the guitar language of their early records into something colder, stranger and more synthetic. Dopamine Chamber takes it's title from the idea of a record as a room the listener steps into. “The album itself is a dopamine chamber,”  says Chatten. “You step inside and we test these different mind- or mood-altering pieces of music on you”

LARRY JUNE - Who Coppin CD/LP (The Freeminded Recs)
Larry June has built a career on making hard work look effortless, and his album Who Coppin' stands as a masterclass in smooth, lifestyle-driven West Coast hip-hop. The album delivers a high-grade mix of Bay Area luxury, entrepreneurial motivation, and unbothered charismatic flows. Spanning a laid-back audio palette designed for early-morning juice runs and late-night freeway cruises alike, Uncle Larry balances the discipline of a hustle-first mindset with warm, sun-drenched production anchored by crisp organic instrumentation and heavy-knocking bass. The album features a tightly curated roster of collaborators who align seamlessly with Larry's signature aesthetic.

CAR SEAT HEADREST - Teen Of Denial: Joe's Story CD/LP  (Matador Records)
Car Seat Headrest's Will Toledo re-imagines the band's breakout on Teen of Denial: Joe's Story. On the original record, Toledo used the name Joe as a stand-in for himself. Revisiting Teens in the run-up to it's 10th year, he felt compelled to give Joe a backstory and began tweaking the album to tell that tale. "The resulting work feels more like the album Teens of Denial was meant to be,” Will Toledo writes in a new message to fans. “When you're writing from a dark space, it's hard to have perspective on where you're at. This time, I could pull from memories of that darkness, and use the distance and additional perspective of ten years of life to shed a fuller light on the experience. Joe is a character going through some of what I experienced, and some of his own problems.” Early this year, the group returned to the studio with producer Steve Fisk to update accordingly - tweaking lyrics and recording new tunes in the Denial-style, including the optimistic and anthemic 'Joe Drives Again.’ The result retains Teens's dark edge and youthful cynicism, but promises a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Toledo writes, “I'm so grateful that this is a work that people have kept coming to, and I hope that this presentation does them honor with a fresh offering to the conversation. We've known that it doesn't have to be like this; now we can wonder - 'what it if were like this?’”

DUMMY - Do You Love The Color Of The Sky? CD/LP  (Polyvinyl Records)
On Dummy's new album, do you love the color of the sky?, the Los Angeles-based 5-piece deliver a breathtaking piece of work that introduces new textures and rhythms to their already varied and refined catalog. For the band's third album, and first for new label home Polyvinyl, the group split time between self-recording at their home studio as well as Studio 22, linking up with frequent collaborator and engineer Joo-Joo Ashworth (Corridor, Automatic, Spiral XP). The band focused on intentionality and experimentation, exploring downtempo dance beats and electronic music while pushing the guitar as far as they could, using new self-sampling and processing techniques.

DEAKIN - Sleep Cycle LP (Domino)
Originally released in April 2016, Sleep Cycle is Deakin's seminal debut solo album. “Sleep Cycle is about the cycles that we go through being shut down by fear and doubt and how to return back to being awake to life. The songs were written as a form of self-medication, meditations on waking up in the face of fear.” - Deakin

MACHINE GIRL - Ugly Art CD/LP (Future Classic)
With more than 500 million catalogue streams and a reputation as an uncompromising act, Machine Girl have spent over a decade building a fiercely dedicated global fanbase. Following the critical success of 2024's MG Ultra and 2026's PsychoWarrior, alongside extensive headline tours and festival appearances across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, the band continue to push the boundaries of punk, rave, metal and breakcore. The Ugly Art - widely regarded as a fan favourite and a defining release in the Machine Girl catalogue - now receives it's long-awaited first ever LP and CD pressing, giving fans the opportunity to own one of the band's most sought-after releases on vinyl and CD for the very first time.

AFTER - Fell Asleep In The Sun CD/LP (Mom & Pop Music)
After is the Y2K-tinged trip-hop pop project of Graham Epstein and Justine Dorsey, who met on Hinge in Los Angeles and realized they'd probably make a better band than a couple. Born on the same day, August 23, 1995, the duo channels influences from Michelle Branch to Portishead, Fountains of Wayne to Enigma, crafting music that feels both nostalgic and new. Their sound has been praised by Rolling Stone, which wrote, After... feels like a memory you can't quite place. Their debut album, Fell Asleep in the Sun, pressed on a CD with a 2000s inspired design, pairs the band's nostalgic sound with premium packaging worthy of any collection. This beautiful collector's edition includes a 12-Page Die-cut expanded booklet with full artwork, presented in a premium package that brings the album's visual world to life. Released via Mom+Pop Music, the project highlights tracks like Take Me to Sunrise,  Promise (When You Go),  and Snowburn,  showcasing After's signature blend of dreamy melodies, textured production, and emotional resonance.

MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA - I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child (20th Anniversary) LP [Reissue/2006] (Favorite Gentlemen)
What's most striking about Manchester Orchestra's debut full-length, I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child, isn't how much the Atlanta-based group have evolved in the two decades since it's release, but how much of their identity was already there from the very beginning. Recorded without a label, outside expectations or even a surplus of material, the album found the band embracing spontaneity over perfection and, in the process, establishing the emotional and sonic hallmarks that would become their defining quality. The organ that swells throughout the album-opening ‘Wolves at Night’ recalls the band's Southern gospel upbringing, but when laid atop a dirty, downtuned guitar riff indebted to '90s fuzz, it creates competing impulses that ripple through every corner of the record. Disc 1 is the original album, and disc 2 features the album re-recorded and re-imagined.

BIBIO & DORIAN CONCEPT - Answers CD/LP (Warp Records)
Longtime friends Bibio and Dorian Concept reunite for Answers, a collaborative instrumental album set for release on October 16th. Having known each other for over a decade, the pair build on a natural creative rapport shaped through recent joint efforts - including Bibio's rework of Dorian Concept's Hide (2024) and their track ‘An Unopened Letter,’ the closer on Dorian Concept's latest album Miniatures (2025). Much of Answers was developed remotely, with ideas passed back and forth between Wales and Austria, reflecting both artists' preference for solitary, process-driven creation. Bibio, an English producer known for blending folk, ambient, and lo-fi tape textures, brings his tactile, guitar-led warmth, while Vienna's Dorian Concept, a self-taught keyboardist and synth improviser, contributes his fluid, exploratory approach to electronic composition. Alongside the music, the duo collaborated closely on the album's visual world, creating video and artwork together, informed by a shared love of vintage cameras and visual play. The result is an instrumental album full of texture that feels less like a debut collaboration and more like a continuation: two distinct voices meeting in a shared language shaped over years of mutual influence and quiet experimentation.

GRETA VAN FLEET - Palace For The People CD/LP (Lava)
2026 release, the fourth album from the acclaimed rockers.

BENNY SINGS - 22 Durnham Dew CD/LP (Stones Throw)
22 Durnham Dew follows Benny Sings' acclaimed 2023 album Young Hearts, which was produced in collaboration with Kenny Beats. After decades of touring and recording, he has recently embraced a more grounded, family-focused lifestyle. “The new music is all about that, my adult life as a real person. It sure is something.” Benny Sings is one of the most distinctive voices in modern pop, a master craftsman whose music radiates warmth and effortless charm. Blending soul, jazz, and feel-good groove into a sound that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.

ANDY SHAUF - Party (10th Anniversary) LP [Reissue/2016] (ANTI-)
After 10 years of Andy Shauf's The Party... it's time for the afterparty. The Party (10th Anniversary Edition) adds nine never-before-released tracks to the original studio version of this essential indie album of the last decade, including two brand new songs plus alternate cuts and demo recordings. With The Party, Shauf masterfully creates a cast of memorable and unique characters. They show up ‘Early to the Party,’ reveal secrets (‘To You') or try to reveal nothing (‘The Magician’). In a city the size of a dinner plate, everyone knew the guy who keeled over after smoking what he promised would be his last pack of cigarettes ('Alexander All Alone’). There's the girl dancing by herself in the middle of the room, with the 'Eyes of Them All' upon her. One moment you're dancing with someone who bears an uncanny resemblance to your ex ('Martha Sways’) and later slagging your best friend as way of endearing yourself to his recently dumped ex ('Quite Like You'). All of this is set to ornate arrangements of fuzzed-out guitars, string sections, clarinets and dreamy synths, all draped over delicate piano, acoustic guitars and rainy-day drums.

FELICE BROTHERS - Felice Brothers LP [Reissue/2008] (Chrysalis)
The Felice Brothers' self-titled second album - and major label debut - is a ragged and exuberant record that captures the spirit of a band steeped in American folk traditions while sounding completely their own. Released in 2008, the album blends folk, country, Americana, and roots rock with a loose, back-porch energy that feels both timeless and spontaneous - introducing The Felice Brothers as one of the most distinctive voices in modern Americana in the process, balancing old-time folk influences with a wild, unpredictable imagination. Featuring ‘Whiskey in My Whiskey,’ ‘Radio Song' and ‘Frankie's Gun!’ The album is filled with vivid characters, dark humour, and weathered storytelling, while accordion, fiddle, piano, and rough-hewn harmonies give the record it's unmistakable Catskills charm. Out of print on vinyl since it's initial 2008 release, The Felice Brothers is presented on special edition Silver vinyl.

@ - Autosmile CD/LP (4AD)
Songwriters Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak are the creative force behind @, a singular duo whose inventive collaboration has reimagined psychedelic folk for a new generation. On Autosmile, their first album for 4AD, the pair expand on the acclaimed promise of their debut Mind Palace Music, blending timeless songwriting with adventurous arrangements, dense harmonies, and a playful spirit that constantly pushes beyond genre boundaries. Though now based in Philadelphia, Victoria and Stone continue their distinctive songwriting process: working independently before completing each other’s compositions. Recorded largely at home with a humble collection of equipment and enriched by contributions from close friends on cello, violin, and drums, Autosmile transforms lo-fi methods into something remarkably lush, immersive, and emotionally resonant.

TWO SHELL - Infinite Now CD/LP (Young)
Following their acclaimed 2024 debut, UK electronic duo Two Shell return with Infinite Now, a reminder of the fundamental power of dance music, the sugar-rush of abandon that comes when you lose yourself to it all and remain in the moment. It’s a celebration of the basic reason that dance music exists: instead of asking listeners to understand what’s happening and make sense of it, Infinite Now asks them to hold on and feel it. It’s still layered, there’s still complexity to the production but it’s just not that deep. The vaporized vocalists you hear across Infinite Now are unnamed and sound like they’ve beamed down from another dimension – ghosts in the machine. In Two Shell’s own words, “Music doesnʼt need to be solved, it just needs to be experienced.”

HOLY TONGUE - Basilikum LP (AD93)
Holy Tongue are a trio composed of Valentina Magaletti, Susumu Mukai, and Al Wootton. Accomplished musicians in their own right, they create expansive rhythmic music that moves freely through dub, trance, post-punk, free improvisation and cinematic psychedelia. Such a dynamic energy and force is mapped across a trilogy of critically acclaimed EPs, their debut album Deliverance and Spiritual Warfare and their collaborative album with dub-pioneer Shackleton.  The trio recorded a series of improvisations in the Swiss Alps and London. Built on the foundation of vintage drum machines and instinctive interplay they created compositions where no stylistic borders apply. The record melts and the musicians’ instruments synergise, with a rawness added with featured vocals from collaborator and experimental vocalist Dali de Saint Paul on two tracks.

SUPERFAN - My Piledriver Heart LP (AD93)
Superfan is the songwriting veil of Kali Priya Flanagan, the Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist and producer. While initially imagined as a solo act, ambitious string arrangements crafted in collaboration with cellist Omeed Almassi have come to define Superfan’s noisy and magnetic pop soundscape.  My Piledriver Heart marks the first release outside of the record deal Flanagan signed at age 14. The album finds Flanagan embracing a more expansive, experimental vision of indie rock - melding deeply tuned acoustic guitar, cello, and Eastern musical influences into what he calls his “Acousticello” sound. Recorded largely live with cellist Omeed Almassi and producer Hudson Pollock, the record explores heartbreak, independence, and hopeful melancholia. Kali says “This time around it was about being (myself) versus becoming myself.

VARIOUS - Habibi Funk 035: Beirut City Pop LP (Habibi Funk)
Beirut City Pop brings together ten recordings from Lebanon's private press cassette scene of the late 1970s and 1980s. Created by short-lived bands and studio projects, these songs move between disco, pop, soul, jazz, bossa, rock and AOR. Produced during the Lebanese civil war, many were copied at home and circulated only among friends and local communities, with some surviving solely on hand-copied tapes. Many of the musicians were connected through Ziad Rahbani's Bypass Studio, collaborating across projects and sharing a common musical language. Inspired by the blend of genres found in Japanese city pop, the title reflects both the sound and spirit of these recordings. Featuring artists including Stephanie Stephanou, Force, Games, Andromeda and Walid Itayim, Beirut City Pop documents a close-knit musical community whose creativity and musical camaraderie endured despite extraordinary circumstances.

ELVIS COSTELLO - My Aim Is True CD/LP [Reissue/1977] (UME)
[2026 remaster for the 49th anniversary] Elvis Costello's landmark debut combines sharp songwriting, new wave energy, and timeless classics including Alison.

HEAVENS TO BETSY - Baby's Gone - CD/LP (Kill Rock Stars)
More than three decades after they founded Heavens to Betsy, Corin Tucker and Tracy Sawyer still have something important to say. Just as riot grrrl punk rock and feminism pushed for inclusivity, bodily autonomy, and gender equality in the early-to-mid '90s, there is arguably an even greater need for the scene to rematerialize in an age where women's voting rights and healthcare access are under siege, as is the safety of any marginalized community. Now, the longtime friends and musicians have answered the call by reuniting as Heavens to Betsy, the DIY punk project they famously founded back in the riot grrrl halcyon days, among like-minded Olympia artists in Bikini Kill, Team Dresch, and Bratmobile. In celebration of their reunion, Corin (Sleater-Kinney) and Tracy (The Husbands, The Flying Tigers, The Lies) are set to release their first project since 1994: baby's gone, a 16-track mission statement comprising a never-before-heard demo tape originally recorded by Bratmobile's Molly Neuman (who also provides liner notes for the forthcoming release), plus the 1993 These Monsters Are Real and the 1994 Direction 7 recordings.

MOVIETONE - Day And Night LP [Reissue/1997] (Domino Records)
The first ever reissue of Movietone's seminal album Day And Night since it came out in 1997. The record is an overlooked diamond of British 90s music – a perfectly crafted slice of atmospheric post-rock, the tracks wander and meander like rivers, blooming into hushed climaxes. The band spawned out of the collective of groups that gathered around the Bristol-based Planet Records label in the early 90s, including Flying Saucer Attack, Third Eye Foundation, Crescent and Hood. In recent years, Movietone have gained a cult following as their music has found its way to a new generation of fans - tracks from Day and Night have been gradually populating NTS tracklists and their eponymous debut was reissued by World of Echo in 2023. All physical formats come with a new booklet designed by Kate Wright, from the band, with captions and images from her archives alongside brand new liner notes by Stephen McRobbie (The Pastels).

LONDON MUSIC WORKS - Beneath Painted Skies: Studio Ghibli Movies LP (Diggers Factory)
Silva Screen Records is proud to announce the release of Beneath Painted Skies: Music from the Studio Ghibli Movies, a new album from London Music Works and Nick Squires, celebrating the extraordinary musical worlds of some of animation's most beloved films. Set for release in October 2026 in physical format, Beneath Painted Skies is a symphonic reinterpretation of titles from Studio Ghibli, bringing together a sweeping collection of themes and cues associated with the films of Studio Ghibli, from the windswept wonder of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and the airborne adventure of Castle in the Sky, to the delicate nostalgia of Only Yesterday, the emotional grandeur of Princess Mononoke, and the dreamlike beauty of Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.

SOFIE ROYER - Before/After LP (Stones Throw)
Sofie Royer, one of Europe's most intriguing underrated pop stars, with a captivating voice and an offbeat aristocratic glamour (The Guardian), is back with a new album. Having released three acclaimed LPs, the Viennese musician's songwriting and production have become more complex and polished, her lyrics sharper and funnier. Before/after is her most incisive record to date, confronting the gripes of being an artist and weaving self-excavation with cultural commentary. Sofie may have gone from lo-fi producer to a bona fide pop musician who's opened for Lana Del Rey, Air and LCD Soundsystem, but she still doesn't know where she fits in. She pulls no punches when critiquing the music industry - “I’m too pop for the art world, too indie darling for the mainstream” - but saves her biggest swings for herself. Over 12 catchy pop songs, Royer wonders if conflicts between past and future aren't just battles with our own selves. “We are constantly in a battle with the 'pre' and 'post' states of time," she explains. “There is a preoccupation with these two tenses; yet by remaining entangled in these states, we are often our own greatest obstacle to overcome. Really, in the state of before/after, it's always you vs you.”

ROBERT LESTER FOLSOM - Music And Dreams: 50th Anniversary Edition CD/LP (Anthology Recordings)
Some albums land like lightning; others slowly reshape the world around them. Originally self-released in 1976, Robert Lester Folsom's Music and Dreams has traveled from hand-to-hand obscurity to cult classic status, finding new generations of listeners and renewed acclaim. For it's golden jubilee, Anthology Recordings presents Music and Dreams: 50th Anniversary Edition, pairing a remastered treatment of the original album with miraculously sourced reel-to-reel demos across this 22-track CD, adding new contour and color to music that continues to find an audience in it's own time.

PORCH LIGHT - Hush LP  (Mom & Pop Music)
Porch Light's debut album - Porch Light’ is an indie-rock group based out of Minneapolis, consisting of members Zac Fogarty (guitar), Jackie Uhas (vocals), Henry Hughes (bass), Kyle Siemon (guitar) and Tony O’Keefe (drums).

MILES DAVIS - Amandla (Rhino Reserve) LP [Reissue/1989] (Rhino)
Recorded during the latter part of Miles Davis' celebrated comeback era, Amandla showcases his fusion of jazz, funk, pop, and contemporary production styles. The album highlights Davis' continued willingness to explore new musical territory while maintaining his unmistakable trumpet voice.

LOU DONALDSON - Sunny Side Up (Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition) LP [Reissue/1960] (Blue Note Records)
A beloved session from the Blue Note catalog, Sunny Side Up finds saxophonist Lou Donaldson delivering soulful hard bop performances. This audiophile vinyl edition presents the album with exceptional sound quality.

EELS - Cookie Happened LP (Play It Again Sam)
Critically acclaimed rock group Eels present their 16th studio album, Cookie Happened. It follows 2024's critically acclaimed Eels TIME!, which saw Eels continuing their remarkable late-career run with a collection of songs that balanced reflection, humor, and hard-won optimism. With it's latest offering, Eels once again demonstrate that few artists are better at finding meaning in life's messiest moments. Speaking about the album title, E (Mark Oliver Everett) says: “All of this will be forgotten. Every joy, accomplishment and hardship will one day become so irrelevant it will be as if none of it occurred. But as the great philosopher of our times, Cookie Monster once said: 'Me no cry because cookie is finished. Me smile because cookie happened.' This will all be forgotten. But isn't it still a beautiful thing that it happened?”

DAVE FRISHBERG - Oklahoma Toad LP [Reissue/1970] (Oglio)
Oklahoma Toad (1970), co-produced by David Rosner and Margo Guryan for CTI Records, was Dave Frishberg's debut as a singer and the record that launched his celebrated career as a pianist-singer-songwriter. Long known as one of the finest pianists in jazz, Frishberg here sang his own songs on record for the first time. This reissue marks the first time on vinyl for the artist-approved producer's mix, presenting all ten original tracks. A bonus 7 single adds Frishberg's version of his oft-recorded classic ‘Peel Me a Grape’ on Side A and a previously unheard Schoolhouse Rock outtake, ‘A World Without Verbs,’ on Side B.

JACKIE MCLEAN - Swing Swang Swingin (Blue Note Classic Vinyl) LP (Blue Note Records)
A classic hard bop session from saxophone legend Jackie McLean, this Blue Note Classic Vinyl edition highlights the energy, creativity, and enduring appeal of one of his most celebrated recordings.

VENTURING - Ghostholding CD/LP (Deadair)
New album from Venturing, side project of Jane Remover. A new album by the artist aka Jane Remover is full of sprawling, fearsome beauty, both compositionally tighter and texturally coarser than their past forays into rock - Pitchfork

RICHARD THOMPSON - Hippies Thugs & Heroes CD (New West Records)
[CD now, LP due on 10/30] Sixty years into a career that began with Fairport Convention and has spanned decades as one of rock's most acclaimed singer-songwriters, Richard Thompson is still chasing surprise. On Hippies, Thugs and Heroes, he let's his subconscious take the wheel, pulling from a cast of old friends, false gurus, former selves, and invented characters who insisted on having their stories told.

ZIEMBA - The Braid LP (Ziemba)
Bad angels on vacation, piss in the sea, that one pair of pants with a rip in the butt: All of It and more has a home on The Braid, the epic and boldly self-possessed new record by [Tucson-based!] Ziemba, aka singer-songwriter, pianist, producer, and journalist René Kladzyk. Her first album in nearly six years, The Braid is Kladzyk’s most potent and cutting vision to date. Building from the pop grandeur of her 2020 release True Romantic and the investigatory world-building of 2019 sci-fi musical ARDIS, The Braid is no less expansive but decidedly earthbound. “I pray to the wine in my glass, show me how all things pass,” Kladzyk pleads on “Boneflute,” a crystalline ballad at the center of the album. It’s not the only song that functions as a prayer: much of The Braid exists in active conversation with shadow worlds, a semi-mythical autobiography striving to weave the beauty and the horror together somehow, on a quest for grace.
