TORTOISE - Touch CD/LP (Nonesuch)
With Touch, the Tortoise bandmembers - Jeff Parker, Dan Bitney, Douglas McCombs, John Herndon, and John McEntire - harness their collectivist songwriting approach, a slightly anarchistic but resolutely egalitarian process where ideas triumph over ego towards an abstracted muscularity. While there are still excursions into the dusky, elegantly gnarled jazz ambience that flourished on landmark works like Millions Now Living Will Never Die and TNT, Touch is perhaps most remarkable for Tortoise's unapologetic embrace of grand gesture. Aerodynamically re-engineered Krautrock, hand-cranked techno rave-ups, and pointillist spaghetti western fanfares are all imbued with Tortoise's now-signature internal logic - equally alluring and confounding, a puzzle to be savored rather than solved. The stylistic diversity is also a reflection of the band's current operating circumstances: With two members now in Los Angeles, another in Portland, and just two remaining in the band's Chicago hometown, their creative process has shifted dramatically from when they lived together in a loft space in the late 1990s, honing their sound over endless hours of collective experimentation. Recorded between the three cities - Los Angeles, Portland, and Chicago - Touch is the result of an intentional effort by these five musicians to reconnect, recenter, and reinvigorate their sound for what is perhaps the group's most diverse release to date.
PIXIES - Demos LP [Reissue/2002] (Cooking Vinyl)
“A sketch of an unvarnished, restless band, coolly bashing out its world-domination plan"- Rolling Stone The legendary Purple Tapes- the first ever Pixies recordings from 1987, officially reissued with new artwork and liner notes detailing the early history of the band. Includes the original recordings of ‘Here Comes Your Man’, ‘Broken Face’, ‘Down To The Well’ & ‘Rock A My Soul’. Formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts, Pixies are one of the key acts associated with the late 1980’s American alternative rock scene and were also considered a big influence on acts such as Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead. “These songs complete the picture of where the Pixies began, while hinting broadly at where they would end up – as a band very much unto their own”.
BJORK - Cornucopia: Live LP (One Little Independent)

EARL SWEATSHIRT - Live Laugh Love LP (Warner Records)
The Live Laugh Love campaign is rooted in themes of wellness, growth, and the philosophy behind the album title, Live Laugh Love. While irony is used as a tool for laughter, the sentiment is real. It reflects Earl's current way of life, choosing joy while staying grounded in truth. - LLL brings a sense of nostalgia. It reminds us of a time when life felt full of simplicity and genuine connection. But this isn't blind optimism. Blood, guts, and darkness live alongside the joy. LLL holds space for contradiction and chooses love anyway.
BLONDE REDHEAD - Shadow Of The Guest LP (Section1)
The Shadow of the Guest is a new limited-edition release from Blonde Redhead, out October 24, 2025. Pressed on black vinyl and hand-numbered, it features expanded versions of ‘Before,’ ‘Rest of Her Life,’ and ‘Via Savona’ with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, plus new takes on ‘For the Damaged Coda,’ including a mariachi-inspired version. Ambient ASMR pieces by Kazu complete this dreamlike, intimate companion to Sit Down for Dinner.
HANNAH JADAGU - Describe CD/LP (Sub Pop)
On Describe, Hannah Jadagu learns the hard way that distance is relative. After her 2023 debut album Aperture garnered glowing praise from outlets like The New York Times and NPR, Jadagu's blossoming career took her away from her blossoming relationship in New York. Her expansive second album sees her grappling with that separation, finding connections that extend beyond the physical and strengthening her own voice in the process.
HAIL THE SUN - Cut Turn Fade Back CD/LP (Equal Vision Records)
Cut. Turn. fade. #back. The seventh studio album from the post-hardcore outfit.
HE LEMONHEADS - Love Chant CD/LP (Fire Records)
After years of writing, wandering, and starting over, Evan Dando returns with Love Chant, the first Lemonheads studio album of original material in nearly two decades. Long in the works and shaped by shifting geographies and a cast of trusted collaborators, it's a bold, melodic reaffirmation of one of alternative rock's most distinctive voices. Now based in Brazil, where much of the album was recorded, Dando's relocation in recent years has offered a quiet shift in perspective - a chance to reset, reconnect, and finally bring these songs into focus. The result is a record that sounds both fresh and familiar: rooted in the hallmarks of The Lemonheads' best work, yet expanded by years of lived experience and new surroundings.
ADAM GREEN & BINKI SHAPIRO - Adam Green & Binki Shapiro LP [Reissue/2013] (Org Music)
Originally released in 2013, the lone collaborative record from The Moldy Peaches' Adam Green and Little Joy's Binki Shapiro stands as a charming ode to the folk pop of the 60's. The album began to take shape when Green supported Little Joy on a South American jaunt a few years prior. Though the ten duets here muse plainly on failed romances and the ensuing emotional turmoil, they take on a surprisingly gentle, matter-of-fact tone. Built on breezy melodies and strummed guitars that are accented by subtle synth-work, the record highlights the duo's admiration for each others' work, making for compelling repeated listening.
JOYER - On The Other End Of The Line CD/LP (Winspear)
For Joyer, the east coast indie rock duo of brothers Nick and Shane Sullivan, distance has been a strange throughline as of late-distance from home, distance from each other, distance from a stable routine. Produced by Slow Pulp's Henry Stoehr, their latest LP, On the Other End of the Line..., ruminates on how their respective experiences relocating cities and an increasingly hectic tour schedule uncovered both their anxieties and a burning desire for connection. It's a hopeful reflection of two distinct perspectives on fluctuating backdrops and the pressures of creativity, filtered through hook-y earnestness and crunchy six-string bluster. Itching to dial back their shoegaze leanings in favor of folkier touches and less conventional, more ambitious arrangements On the Other End of the Line... is Joyer at their most vulnerable, leaning less on imagery and abstractions and cracking the door to their bursting insides.
TOM WAITS - Nighthawks At The Diner (50th Anniversary Edition) LP [Reissue/1975] (ANTI-)

MELANIE MARTINEZ - Cry Baby LP [Reissue/2015] (Atlantic)

YUSEF LATEEF - Three Faces Of Yusef Lateef LP [Reissue/1960] (Jazz Wax Records) Originally recorded in May 1960 for Riverside Records, this album showcases Yusef Lateef in a more traditional jazz setting, with minimal influence from his Eastern musical explorations. It features a mix of original compositions and jazz standards, including works by Antonin Dvorak, Duke Ellington, and Joe Zawinul. Lateef's performances on tenor saxophone, oboe, and flute highlight his versatility and mastery.
STAN GETZ / GERRY MULLIGAN - Getz Meets Mulligan In Hi-Fi LP [Reissue/1957] (Verve)
Under the guidance of Norman Granz, Stan Getz and Gerry Mulligan collaborate for the first time as the primary horns on Getz Meets Mulligan in Hi-Fi. Recorded in 1957, this record offers the unique opportunity to listen to the two jazz stars trade instruments on the first three tracks (‘Let's Fall in Love,’ ‘Anything Goes,’ and ‘Too Close for Comfort’) with Getz on baritone sax and Mulligan on tenor. The music gels with the help of a world-class rhythm section featuring Lou Levy on piano, Ray Brown on bass, and Stan Levey on drums. While a massive musical success, the duo never recorded again in this quintet format, making this record a rarity. Verve Acoustic Sounds Series features transfers from analog tapes and remastered 180-gram vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.

Together, they blend lo-fi indie rock, psychedelica, noise, afrobeat, and Brazilian references that range from Luiz Gonzaga's primal Pernambuco sound to classic Brazilian psych rock. In 2019 their sound was discovered by indie rock legend Doug Martsch of Built to Spill, which led to him inviting Lê and João to become temporary members of the 90's indie rock band. Later they recorded, co-produced, and co-mixed Built to Spill's most recent album, When the Wind Forgets Your Name, released in 2022 on Sub Pop Records.
