JACK WHITE - Frozen Charlotte CD/LP (Third Man)
Frozen Charlotte - the 7th studio album from Jack White shows the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer at his best; backed by an incredible band (Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass, Bobby Emmett on keys) whose collective hand is scorching hot after coming off a tour of universally-acclaimed performances. Instead of resting on a job well done, they went straight to work in the studio and laid down what became Frozen Charlotte. Recorded in White's Third Man Studio in Nashville, this album shows Jack carrying on the same raucous, raw, and frenetic energy from his lauded 2024 album, No Name. 13 tracks of distinct feel and tone, Frozen Charlotte is an intense rock and roll punch with never far behind blues underpinnings... all of which fits right at home with long time fans while leaving an inviting open door to newcomers alike.

PANDA BEAR & SONIC BOOM - A ? Of When CD/LP/Cass (Domino)
Panda Bear and Sonic Boom's second album together, A ? Of When, maintains the sense of musical play brought forth in their triumphant 2022 debut together, Reset. It is built on loops of harp and sequences of steel drum, webs of pedal steel and even bits of a mariachi band. These are, of course, deliberate choices, sounds and textures they've never used and that offered a clear sonic break from the success of Reset. It works, too. These tunes grapple with online exhaustion and pervasive depression, with political chicanery and ecological sustainability, all while advocating for respecting the power of luck and giving one another grace in a moment when very few of us actually know what the hell is happening. Has it ever been easier to complain publicly about something without trying to change it? Sonic Boom and Panda Bear are not content to gripe about circumstances or speculate about the fall on A ? Of When. They're not going to stream these songs. They're just going to sell them and give away bumper stickers that, hilariously, boast “I'm unfollowing Panda Bear & Sonic Boom.” The goal is for the music to create physical connections between people, to encourage them to enjoy a real experience in the world with it and each other.

WILL SHEFF - Extra Mile CD/LP (Solid Ghost Records)
Over the course of his career, Will Sheff has released ten albums that have given the front man of esteemed indie rock band Okkervil River a reputation as one of the greatest working songwriters in the country. As Sheff and his shifting lineup of players have traveled the world many times over, they've made fans ranging from Lou Reed to Barack Obama. Praised as one of indie rock's most ambitious thinkers (Pitchfork), Sheff released his debut solo album Nothing Special in 2022 to critical acclaim from The New Yorker, NPR, Uncut, Pitchfork and more... with The New York Times saying it Harnesses both the glow of poetry and the gravity of hymns. Extra Mile follows in the path of Nothing Special - patient and alive and breathing and musical. With collaborations and contributions from friends and musicians like Griff Goldsmith of Dawes, Zac Rae of Death Cab, Peter Silberman of The Antlers, A.C. Newman, Jenn Wasner, and Christian Lee Hutson, it's an album about what it feels like to be a soul in a body.

XIU XIU - Eraserhead Xiu Xiu CD/LP (Polyvinyl Records)
In 2016, with the blessing of David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti, Xiu Xiu released and toured the surprisingly successful album and concert, Plays the Music of Twin Peaks. Out of respect and deference to the beloved series, the band decided to put the concert to rest in 2018. After the recent and untimely passing of David Lynch, Xiu Xiu began to receive several high-profile requests to revive their interpretation of this iconic music. However, in wanting to always try to follow, honor, and continue to be inspired by the incredibly high bar of artistic challenge set by David Lynch, Xiu Xiu is instead going deeper. Eraserhead Xiu Xiu is a new live concert with accompanying film & full-length album that uses field recordings, concert specific homemade instruments, organ, modular synths, vocals, flashlights, electrical interference, and elements of musique concrete to express the bizarre emotionality, conflicted sexuality, relentless darkness, and singularly unsettled moonscape of this most incredible of midnight masterpieces. The album itself is a masterpiece in sound collage and experimentation, with tracks like ‘Tetra’ and 'Sleep Synth’ shifting from minimal auditory sensations to a clobbering, grotesque cacophony.

TEMPER TRAP - Sungazer  CD/LP (Mushroom)
Indie-rock group The Temper Trap make a triumphant return with Sungazer, a decade on from their last album. An explosive, anthemic new record that looks to the future as much as embodying their wildly successful past. Including singles 'Giving Up Air', 'Lucky Dimes' and 'Into The Wild', Sungazer sees a new era of The Temper Trap unfurl. The past few years have seen the band return to live stages around the world, huge dance remixes of their hit 'Sweet Disposition' by John Summit, Lost Frequencies and BUNT., and a long-awaited official release of Mac Miller bootleg 'Love Lost'.

BABY ROSE - Yearnalism CD/LP (Secretly Canadian)
Three albums in, Yearnalism is a sonic snapshot of Rose at her most self-assured. Baby Rose has been building up to this moment, brick by brick, for almost a decade. Raised between Washington D.C. and Fayetteville, N.C. on artists like Nina Simone, Donny Hathaway and Janis Joplin, the musician born Jasmine Rose Wilson has been a mainstay in alternative R&B since her 2019 debut, To Myself.

CAT POWER - The Greatest 20th Anniversary Edition LP [Reissue/2006] (Matador Records)
Available for the album's 20th anniversary, Cat Power's The Greatest on pink vinyl with a limited reprinting of the original pink foil cover. For The Greatest, Chan Marshall returned to Memphis, pursuing the slinky Hi Records sound of the 70s, famed for it's sensuous feel and beguiling rhythms. She got Al Green's guitarist and songwriting partner Mabon Teenie Hodges (Love and Happiness and Take Me to the River) to play guitar on the whole album. With Teenie came his Hi Rhythm bandmate (and brother) Leroy Flick Hodges, who plays on half of the album (Memphis A-team bassist Dave Smith supplements). Anchoring the band is Steve Potts (Booker T. and the MG). Other top Memphis musicians guest on keyboards, horns and strings. Cat Power went right to the sources, and created her own paean to the songs and styles she grew up on.

KELELA - New Avatar CD/LP (Warp Records)
“My origin story as a songwriter and artist set the context for the catharsis I experienced while making new avatar. I wrote my very first songs in a punk house. The indie scene I was part of provided me with an outlet for genre-defying experiments that illuminated intersections I was hearing in my head. We didn't spend tons of time on songs cuz the kids in that scene didn't care about nailing it. It was (lowkey) about messing up, giving 0 fucks and dismantling the need to be perfect in the first place. It took the pressure off and allowed my first vision of myself to blossom. I used a similar approach with this body of work - moving through with a lot of intention while capturing the freedom and spontaneity that inspired my inception as an artist. What you're getting with this album is another facet of my world expressed with a new level of conviction, sometimes in the form of love+devotion and other times in the form of rage.” - Kelela

ROLLING STONES - Foreign Tongues LP (Capitol)
Foreign Tongues, the vibrant 14-track album from The Rolling Stones, arrives less than three years after the Grammy-winning Hackney Diamonds. Led by the infectious single 'In The Stars,’ it was recorded in under a month at Metropolis Studios with producer Andrew Watt. Blending their signature sound with fresh sonic territory, the album features Charlie Watts on one of his final sessions, plus contributions from Darryl Jones, Steve Jordan, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith and more.

GETO BOYS - We Can't Be Stopped (35th Anniversary) LP [Reissue/1991] (Rap-A-Lot)
The Geto Boys' 1991 breakthrough We Can't Be Stopped returns to vinyl for it's 35th anniversary, newly remastered and expanded to a 2xLP pressed on colored vinyl for the first time since 2014. Certified Platinum by the RIAA, it features the era-defining classic "Mind Playing Tricks on Me." Restored original artwork and upgraded audio cement this landmark release as the most definitive edition to date.

PORCHES - Mask Cassette (Many Hats)
[Cassette only release!] Porches recorded MASK on his four track last spring (2025) in the basement on Wooster street (in New York City). He mixed it straight off the tape machine. He was inspired by how impossible it is to really edit anything on the four track, and he feels like a special spirit was captured in these recordings by embracing their imperfections. Porches wanted to share them in their rawest form to keep that energy he felt intact.

HEAD & THE HEART - Live At Neumos (2011) LP (Sub Pop)
Seattle indie-folk icons The Head and the Heart commemorate the 15th anniversary of their landmark debut album with the release of a 2011 live show at their beloved hometown venue Neumos. This double-album captures a vibrant live set right at the moment the band was breaking out. Live At Neumos (2011) features all the songs from The Head and the Heart's platinum-selling self-titled album, plus two previously unreleased songs:

AARON MF OLSON - Songs Album II LP (Country Thyme)
LA musician Aaron MF Olson is a man of many bands and hats; he wears his Songs Album sombrero when writing / playing / producing songs for singing and music for listening. On his second collection, Aaron’s polymath mastery of the music traces through multitudes of pop feels, ambling from introspective to satiric to love-lorn to sceptic to true devotion. In every song! A matrix of experienced life and aspirational being. Aaron's been a sideman to all sorts of people, such as Papa M, Tommy Peltier, and Tortoise.

VARIOUS - Blues In the Mississippi Night LP (Lomax Archive)
Blues in the Mississippi Night, the landmark Alan Lomax recording of Big Bill Broonzy, Memphis Slim and Sonny Boy Williamson returns to vinyl for the first time since it's initial release in 1959. This is an essential recording- a cornerstone to any blues fan's record collection and an indisputable part of American music history.

HOLY WAVE - I'm Dada LP (Suicide Squeeze)
Holy Wave stretches their familiar sense of woozy atmosphere into something leaner and more direct. There are more loops and samples woven throughout than before, grooves that feel constructed, cyclical, hypnotic. Some tracks drift toward dub's elastic spaciousness; others pulse with cinematic downtempo gravity. There is a fresh sense of momentum throughout the record, rhythms that pull forward, dream-saturated textures, sheets of fuzz, and softly suspended vocals. "dewey's dirge" unfolds patiently: hazy guitars bloom, a softened motorik pulse moving steadily beneath.

HAYDEN EVERETT
- So The Sun Can Pour LP (Many Hats)

Hayden Everett is a Seattle-based artist blending folk storytelling with jazz-trained musicianship and expansive production. A UCLA jazz graduate, he writes much of his music on solo backpacking trips, guided by a belief that presence gives art its weight. His debut EP, produced with Jeremy McDonald (Kevin Garrett, Vulfpeck, Beyoncé), earned placements on 'Grey's Anatomy' and praise from Earmilk, Atwood Magazine, and KCRW, with follow-ups via Platoon and Nettwerk featuring Jemima Coulter (Hailaker) and JT Bates (Bonny Light Horseman).

TREY ANASTASIO - Live & Acoustic 3xLP (ATO Records)
Live and Acoustic captures Anastasio in his most intimate and revealing form, drawing from his four-decade career, including such beloved songs as Stash, Waste, Divided Sky, and Pebbles and Marbles. The 22-song 3xLP set was recorded during his 2025 tour and highlights the depth of Anastasio's songwriting and the emotional core of each composition, with select arrangements enhanced by Jeff Tanski's piano. Live and Acoustic offers a rare, front-row perspective on Anastasio's ongoing body of work.

HURRY - Zoned Out LP (Run For Cover)
Matt Scottoline -singer, songwriter, and leader of Philadelphia's finest indie rock band, Hurry - is a worrier. It's understandable; we're living in anxious times, with the world changing so quickly it's hard to keep up. For Matt, though, those anxieties hit closer to home this time: impending fatherhood, a milestone birthday on the horizon, and lingering questions about his place in the musical landscape. Does the world really need a new Hurry album? Judging by the ten songs that make up Zoned Out - Hurry's sixth full-length and fourth for Lame-O Records-the answer is a resounding yes. Recorded at The Metal Shop by Ian Farmer and co-produced by Farmer and Scottoline, the album finds Hurry operating at full strength. Backed once again by Rob DeCarolis on drums, Joe DeCarolis on bass, and Justin Fox on guitar, the band sounds tighter than ever-so in sync it all feels effortless. From the opening track, 'All Sunk In,' with it's chugging electric guitars and earworm melody, the tone is set immediately. 'Moving After You,' the album's standout, features Gerard Love. It's timeless pop music made for these times.

BCMC - Stash LP (Drag City)
A two-headed, four-handed groove-and-space based understanding/alignment of purpose is written in the BCMC DNA. Cooper Crain and Bill MacKay’s guitar and keyboard duo make unbridled electro-ecstatic, intuitive assembly of deep and wide trans-hemispheric sounds. From the frontiers, judicious minimalist song flows.

BLACK ANGELS - Passover (20th Anniversary) LP [Reissue/2006] (Light In The Attic)
In celebration of this year's 20th anniversary of the album Passover, the legendary debut long player from The Black Angels, Light in the Attic is honored to present a special limited edition of the album featuring the double LP housed in a beautiful silver and gold foil gatefold jacket. This anniversary vinyl edition is pressed on white, black & gold color wax and includes 1 of 4 flexi records featuring a track recorded live at KEXP in 2006.

BETTY DAVIS - They Say I'm Different LP [Reissue/1974] (Light In The Attic)
Punk-funk provocateur Betty Davis' 1974 sophomore album They Say I'm Different features a worthy-of-framing futuristic cover challenging David Bowie's science fiction funk with real rocking soul-fire, kicked off with the savagely sexual 'Shoo-B-Doop' and 'Cop Him' (later sampled by Ice Cube). Her follow up is full of classic cuts like 'Don't Call Her No Tramp' and the hilarious, hard, deep funk of 'He Was A Big Freak.'

DAYDREAM PLUS - Second Last Day Of Summer LP (Run For Cover)
There's an old trope about the last day of summer vacation; that it represents access to endless, effortless joy. But it's not really like that at all. Just ask Payson Power, the guitarist and creative force behind Toronto's Daydream Plus. "Growing up, whenever I'd see a film that takes place on the last day of summer, I'd be like, 'You're already at the depressing part!' The good part is the second-to-last day of summer, because it's the last day you can live consequence-free." That moment, where you can still watch movies and play video games until the sun comes up, is what inspired Power to write Daydream Plus' first full-length album, Second Last Day of Summer. What makes that day so beautiful is, subconsciously, you know it's all about to come to an end.

GIL EVANS - Individualism Of Gil Evans (Verve Vault Series) LP [Reissue/1964] (Verve)
Released in 1964 on Verve, The Individualism of Gil Evans stands as one of arranger-composer Gil Evans' most compelling works, showcasing some of the finest music of his career. The album blends Evans' originals and Miles Davis collaborations with inspired interpretations, all rendered through his distinctive big band lens. A core group of musicians, including Johnny Coles, Steve Lacy, Jimmy Cleveland, Tony Studd, Bill Barber, Elvin Jones, and Paul Chambers, lend a remarkable consistency of texture and mood. Evans himself plays piano throughout, his touch especially poignant on "The Barbara Song," where a sense of deep pathos is underscored by Shorter's expressive tenor. From the brooding atmosphere of "Time of the Barracudas" to the one-chord intensity of "El Toreador," the album highlights Evans' mastery of tone, space, and orchestral nuance. The Verve Vault series is always mastered from analog tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.

GIRL TROUBLE - As Is LP (K. RECORDS)
As Is. Take it or leave it. Girl Trouble has been staying true to their unique brand of Northwest garage rock in their native Tacoma, Washington all this time, since their founding in 1984. Over these 42 years of eluding fame, Girl Trouble has recorded in many top notch studios, and for many different labels. During the last 15 years, the band has recorded dozens of new tracks, nailing down the sound they were after: something more raw and more real. Something new. While continuing the experiment the band decided to put all the recent batches of their recordings together into a "rock tapestry." These sessions represent the polished, overdubbed Girl Trouble in a studio and the live-in- the-room, no frills Girl Trouble, which they've always wanted to capture on a recording. The result is the best of both of these GT styles, and everything in between. Recorded in a variety of sonic environments, with only the songwriting and performances remaining consistent from track to track, Girl Trouble is proud to finally present this new batch of rock and roll songs "As-Is".

ROGER GLENN - Reachin' (Jazz Dispensary Top Shelf Series) LP [Reissue/1977] (Craft Recordings)
Featuring The Mizell Brothers' signature production rich with rolling rhythms, soaring instrumentation, vibrant percussion arrangements, and funky organs, Roger Glenn's 1977 sizzler Reachin' is a Latin Jazz fusion flute explosion making a long-awaited return to vinyl after five decades as part of Jazz Dispensary's Top Shelf series. Cut from the original analog tapes (AAA) by Kevin Gray, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing, and packaged in a tip-on jacket.

GROUND ZERO - Revolutionary Pekinese Opera LP (Spittle Made in Japan)
Jazzy Rock Noise Unit formed by Otomo Yoshihide in 1990.

HENRY FRANKLIN - The Skipper LP [Reissue/1972] (Real Gone)
Though it’s hard to pick a winner among the estimable Black Jazz catalog, this 1972 release from bassist Henry “The Skipper” Franklin would have to be near the top of the list. Franklin got his start woodshedding with Latin maverick Willie Bobo in the mid-‘60s and went on to play with The Three Sounds, but probably his most notable gig prior to this debut album was his stint in Hugh Masekela’s band (that’s Franklin playing bass with Masekela at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival). For The Skipper, Franklin assembled a crack outfit that included a horn section of trumpeter/flugelhornist Oscar Brashear (Bobby Hutcherson, Ry Cooder, Donny Hathaway) and tenor & soprano sax man Charles Owens (Buddy Rich, Horace Tapscott, John Mayall) along with a Masekela bandmate in electric pianist Bill Henderson and ace drummer Michael Carvin (Pharoah Sanders, Lonnie Liston Smith, Freddie Hubbard). This is such a unique, organic recording that it’s hard to make comparisons; definitely a little fusion, a little ‘60s Blue Note feel, and the usual Black Jazz journey to the more lyrical, pop-inspired (“Little Miss Laurie”) and funk-infused (“Plastic Creek Stomp”) sides of jazz, but perhaps the best comparison is late-‘60s Miles before he went electric. Remastered for vinyl and featuring liner notes, this Real Gone release comes in a blue with black swirl pressing limited to just 500 copies!

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys CD/LP [Reissue/2010] (Reprise / WEA)
My Chemical Romance's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys Deluxe Edition includes a remastered album, nine unreleased and rare bonus tracks including the Mad Gear & Missile Kid' EP, Zero Percent, and the band's cover of Common People.

WAR AND TREATY - Story Of Michael And Tanya LP  (Atlantic)
2x Grammy Award -nominated duo The War and Treaty take a bold step into a new chapter with their hugely anticipated fifth studio album The Story of Michael and Tanya. The characteristically electric project exemplifies the duo's ever-evolving creative growth making it abundantly clear that a vibrant new energy now guides The War and Treaty, driven by honest and unique conversational perspectives

K/S/R & NIHILIST SPASM BAND  - Split LP (Gilgongo)
This intergenerational, wide-minded split LP blurs the hedges of national borders and the traditions of composition, marking a niche interzone inhabited solely by the uncles of punk and their experimental stepchildren. Canadian noise pioneers, Nihilist Spasm Band, deliver a ripping side-long opus rife with their singular blend of hi-octane kazoo, invented instruments and propulsive, arrhythmic drumming. This deep cut is likely to be the final NSB recording released featuring the late great vocalist Bill Exley, who passed away in 2025 after performing as a Nihilist for exactly 60 years. On the flipside, K/S/R screw the tempo down to their patented desert crawl pulse and lock the door behind them. Departing from the interstellar density of the trio’s 2025 Already in Heaven LP, the side-long treatise of An American Sonnet brandishes the group’s minimalist approach heard during recent performances across the United States. A plein air structure of ascetic interplay locates K/S/R carving sonic terrane from the space between notes, where each gesture is ascertained both as an individual voice and a building block of the collective. 180-gram mixed color vinyl, edition of 245. Co-released with Physical.

KRUDER & DORFMEISTER  - Dj Kicks: Kruder & Dorfmeister 30th Anniverary 3xLP   (K7)
For its 30th anniversary, Kruder & Dorfmeister’s DJ-Kicks is available for the first time in mixed form on 3LP, remastered by Bernie Grundman and packaged in a special box set including original imagery. Kruder & Dorfmeister's rendition of the series created an era defining moment, which tied together a glowing array of musical registers. The Viennese downtempo royalty blended a fusion of slowed down moments across many genres with rolling Drum and Bass from the likes of Aquasky, the melting acid lines of deep Hardfloor and the 90s boom bap sampling, smoked out atmospherics of Thievery Corporation amongst many more."

MODEL/ACTRIZ - No/Ava/100 LP [Reissue/2016]  (Many Hats)
Like their name suggests, Model/Actriz seek to channel raw emotions into striking new forms. The band's surface glamor is supported by nerves of steel, leveraging their focus into moments of wild abandon. Since their songs roar to life off the back of blistering guitar, relentless drums, and pummeling bass there's an expectation that Model/Actriz aim first and foremost to be shit-starters. But their instrumental muscle couches a searching heart and the Brooklyn quartet have long made a mission to reconcile undefinable feelings by charting a ferocious new path through sound, one that brings jagged emotions back into full, sweaty alignment with the listeners' bodies.

LXS COCHINXS - Los Grandes Exitos De La Cumbia Cochina LP (LXS Cochnixs)
Los Angeles based Lxs Cochinxs Debut Album! Los Grandes Exitos de la Cumbia Cochina features all the hits that will make you move like you have never moved before! Limited edition of 100

PRINCESS NOKIA - Girls LP (Artist House)
Girls is Princess Nokia at her most fully realized, a bold celebration of femininity in all it's power, vulnerability, and duality. Blending hip-hop and dreamy pop textures, the album moves between confession and high-gloss attitude, anchored by standout singles "Drop Dead Gorgeous," "Medusa," and "Blue Velvet," each capturing a different facet of her sonic and emotional range.

ROY AYERS UBIQUITY - He's Coming LP [Reissue/1972] (Verve)
Released on Polydor in 1972, He's Coming captures vibraphonist Roy Ayers at a creative apex, as Ubiquity's sound settled into the blend of jazz improvisation, funk rhythm, soul harmony, and spiritual import that would define his work throughout the decade. The album reflects Ayers's deepening move toward a groove-centered musical language rooted in soul-jazz and early jazz-funk. Ayers is supported by a core ensemble that includes Harry Whitaker on electric piano, organ, and vocals; John Williams on bass, with Ron Carter featured on "We Live in Brooklyn, Baby"; David Lee Jr. And Billy Cobham on drums and percussion; guitarists Sam Brown and Bob Fusco; saxophonist Sonny Fortune; and percussionist Juma Santos. Tracks like "He's a Superstar," "Sweet Butterfly of Love," and "Fire Weaver," embody the record's mix of urban narrative, spiritual reflection, and deep rhythmic. The Verve Vault series is always mastered from analog tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
