FOXWARREN - 2 CD/LP (ANTI-)
Foxwarren, the Canadian indie collective fronted by Andy Shauf, returns with their sophomore album 2. Joined by his fellow Canadian childhood friends and close collaborators Dallas Bryson (guitar), Darryl Kissick (bass), Avery Kissick (drums), and Colin Nealis (multi-instrumentalist), the eclectic sound of 2 - weaving genres ranging from folk to psych rock to downtempo - coincides with Shauf's curiosity and desire to incorporate a Native Instruments Maschine MSK3 sampler into his process. There is something uncanny about the feeling of these songs, the way bits recorded in different rooms amplify your attention, listening for how these layers lock. But their true connective tissue is the generous and gentle ways Shauf and the rest of Foxwarren move with melody.

CAROLINE - Caroline 2 CD/LP (Rough Trade) 
Returning with caroline 2, the eight-piece collective embrace a bolder, more expansive sound. Going beyond their debut's explorations of repetition, slowness and space, the new album pushes further into dynamic contrasts — organic and electronic, raw and refined. WATCHHOUSE - Rituals CD/LP (Tiptoe Tiger Music)
Rituals, out May 30th, is the newest full length album from Watchhouse (Andrew Marlin & Emily Frantz). This is the first release of all new, original songs since their 2021 self-titled album, which found the duo embracing a new name and a new chapter for the band. - Recorded close to home in 2024 with co-producer Ryan Gustafson (the Dead Tongues), Rituals explores the boundaries between identity and awareness, and how we often confuse our patterns with our truths. The album muses on the endless nature of our evolution, asking questions like: how can we have a positive relationship with change, how can we meet our ends gracefully, and 'is the world on fire or at home in the sun?

SWANS - Birthing LP (Young God Records)
“The material contained in this album was largely developed over the course a yearlong Swans tour, during 2023 - 2024 ('The Healers', 'I Am a Tower', 'Birthing', 'Guardian Spirit', 'Rope', and 'Away'), then recorded and further orchestrated and rearranged in the studio. Two pieces were created and performed in the studio ('Red Yellow', 'The Merge').  In all cases the material began with me sitting in my office with an acoustic guitar, singing and dreaming about what would become of these skeletal songs. I'm blessed to have such a stellar group of musicians to work with live (listed below), and through improvisation, endless revisions and an intensity of focus in performance (not to mention endurance), over the course of time the music morphed into what you generally hear on this collection. This album, coupled with the recent live release, Live Rope, constitutes my final foray (as producer / impresario) into the all-consuming sound worlds that have been my obsession for years. We'll do a final tour in this mode towards the end of 2025, then that's it.  After that, Swans will continue, so long as I'm able, but in a significantly pared down form. Hints of that direction can be found in a few moments on the current album. In the meantime, my hope is that the music provides a positive and fertile atmosphere in which to dream.” - Michael Gira / Swans

MIKE - Showbiz CD/LP (10K Records)
Showbiz! is the tenth solo album by MIKE, released via his own label 10k. Widespread acclaim includes Pitchfork 'Best New Music', who proclaimed it's "the young artist’s greatest accomplishment thus far". It sets a new benchmark for himself and his contemporaries as he steps into the next chapter of his career as a proven, essential voice in hip hop this decade. The record features 454 and duendita, alongside guest production from Thelonious Martin, Salami Rose Joe Louis, Jacob Rochester, Anysia Kym, Harrison (SURF GANG), ShunGu, Laron and redLee.

YEULE - Evangelic Girl Is A Gun CD/LP (Ninja Tune)
Evangelic Girl is a Gun is yeule's most unrestrained and emotionally baring work yet, as they grapple with ideas of a self-destructive identity burning through the canvas of post-modernity. Accompanied by still visual artworks made in collaboration with artist Vasso Vu and a video for the latest single shot by the aforementioned Neil Krug, Ćmiel explores the duality of darkness, as well as their personal history to their role as the painter. Through the album's hypnotic melodies, they present a portrait of the tortured artist trapped within an image, as Ćmiel's haunting vocals act as an emotional chokehold atop dance beats. Evangelic Girl is a Gun sees Ćmiel putting their own cyborgian spin on Bristol trip-hop and '90s gothic. The album features production from A.G. Cook, Chris Greatti, Mura Masa, Clams Casino, Fitnesss and Kin Leonn, Ćmiel's trusted collaborator and co-executive producer of 2023's softscars. Yeule's untreated vocals on the album also contribute to a sense of burning authenticity; rawness emerges as they abandon Auto-Tune. This jarring artistic styling is a turn from their glitchy previous works. As a counter to the emergence of AI, they wanted to imbue their vocals with a raw, irreplaceable edge. yeule will be embarking on a full North American tour following the release of Evangelic Girl is a Gun. 

SUFJAN STEVENS - Carrie & Lowell (10th Anniversary Edition) CD/LP (Asthmatic Kitty)
A decade after it's release, Carrie & Lowell continues to resonate as one of Sufjan Stevens' most personal and beloved albums-a fall-down gorgeous and emotionally devastating masterpiece (The Guardian). To mark the anniversary, Asthmatic Kitty Records presents Carrie & Lowell - 10th Anniversary Edition, featuring seven never-before-released demos that offer a rare window into the album's creation. With updated cover art, a beautifully designed 40-page booklet and new essay reflecting on the album by Sufjan, this special edition celebrates and expands the legacy of one of his most cherished works.

ALAN SPARHAWK - With Trampled By Turtles - CD/LP/CASS (Sub Pop)
No one can help you build something beautiful quite like those who know you best. Alan Sparhawk knows this well. In his years in Low, he built decades of stirring music with his wife and lifelong creative partner Mimi Parker. In recent years, he has performed around Minnesota with his son Cyrus in DERECHO Rhythm Section, a funk band that also frequently features his daughter Hollis on vocals. There's an irreplaceable naturalism that comes with this kind of dynamic. Those who know you understand you. They love you. They want to help you bring your greatest passions to fruition.So it made sense that Sparhawk would turn to fellow Duluth musicians Trampled by Turtles to realize his latest record. As friends and mentees of Low's, taken under Sparhawk and Parker's wing from their earliest days as a bar band, Trampled by Turtles have performed with Sparhawk countless times over the years. The two artists hold the kind of ironclad bond. Following Parker's passing in 2022, Trampled by Turtles invited Sparhawk to join them on tour to give him a space to be surrounded by friends. Occasionally, he would join them onstage. The outpouring of love was palpable every time they played together, a surge of warmth. When playing together is that powerful, why stop there? In winter, 2024, Sparhawk and Trampled by Turtles created With Trampled by Turtles, a record exactly as it's name implies: Collective. Communal. Fraternal. Empathetic. AESOP ROCK - Black Hole Superette CD/CASS/LP (Rhymesayers)
Black Hole Superette, the latest album from Aesop Rock, delves into the invisible forces that shape our lives and psyches. It's about the small, often overlooked moments-the everyday experiences that blur the lines between the real and the unreal, waking and sleeping. Aesop Rock's signature gift for transforming the mundane into something dreamlike gives the album a surreal quality, leaving listeners questioning what's truly real as they navigate it's vivid, half-remembered imagery. MATT BERNINGER - Get Sunk CD/LP (Concord Records)
Matt Berninger is the vocalist and lyricist for Grammy Award-winning band The National. His songwriting has long garnered praise for it's poignant clarity, jagged-edged wit and intimately emotive melodies. His second solo album, Get Sunk, is not an autobiographical album, but the narrator is processing how he became himself. Who is he compared to the kid on that sepia-toned farm? What is his idea of happiness? What the hell are we all searching for? Get Sunk is an ode to the infinite. The others that make us who we are; the possibilities our paths can take and the abyss of both misery and bliss.

MOONRISERS - Harsh & Exciting CD/LP (Easy Eye Sound)
Blending raw, haunting timeless tones with a deep sense of atmosphere, Moonrisers carve out unique space in the worlds of Doom Folk, Gloomcore, and Slowcore in their debut album, Harsh & Exciting. The instrumental album features the evocative guitarist, Libby DeCamp, and the nuanced and rhythmic force of Adam Schreiber's percussion. Produced by Dan Auerbach, their utterly remarkable sound is a magnetic fusion of shadowy elegance and cinematic depth.

GARBAGE - Let All That We Imagine Be The Light CD/LP (BMG)
2025 release. Let All That We Imagine Be The Light is the eighth studio record from Garbage and was recorded at Red Razor Sounds in Los Angeles, Butch Vig's studio Grunge Is Dead, and Shirley Manson's bedroom. The record was produced by the band and longtime engineer Billy Bush. The album is unmistakably Garbage. All the hallmarks and signatures for which they are known are present here. Big angular guitars, precise, propulsive beats and cinematic soundscapes all lurk beneath Shirley Manson's expressive voice, her lyrics bristling with attitude. It is the sound of a group at the peak of their creative powers - characteristically harnessing sonic juxtapositions and moods to create an album that thrums equally with both light and shade.

WILLIE COLON / HECTOR LAVOE - Guisando: Doing A Job LP [Reissue/1969] (Craft Recordings)
The 1969 collaboration by salsa’s legendary duo Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe, is a fantastic stew of a bold fusion of styles like son, guajira, bomba, guaguancó and more. The album’s highlight songs include, “No me den candela,” Willie’s response to Herbie Hancock’s “Watermelon Man,” “I Wish I Had A Watermelon” and the upbeat title track written by the duo. Featuring (AAA) lacquers cut from the original master tapes, this 140-gram vinyl reissue is a must-have for classic salsa music lovers.

IGLOOGHOST - Tidal Memory Exo LP (LUCKYME)  
LUCKYME celebrates the first anniversary of Iglooghost’s highly-acclaimed third album Tidal Memory Exo with a limited edition ‘Seaweed Green’ vinyl run. Featured in Bandcamp, Dazed and The Needle Drop’s end-of-year lists, the record was a 2024 stand-out release. Made while squatting in an old MOT garage on the Kent Coast, Tidal Memory Exosees Iglooghost take the fore as a vocalist for the first time. The album takes place in a coastal town cut off from the mainland and plagued by a never ending storm, where the locals have created their own music scene with genres such as ‘sporestyle’ and ‘tektonikore’. Like previous records, there is a seemingly endless amount of lore to delve into on Tidal Memory Exo. ‘Seaweed Green’ edition limited to 500 copies.

HIRS COLLECTIVE - We’re Still Here LP (Get Better Records)
Limited vinyl reissue. After thrice releasing 100-song albums and countless splits and collaborative records, the HIRS Collective had already begun to realize their next frontier through 2020’s highly collaborative Friends. Lovers. Favorites.Since then, the band has doubled-down on prioritizing the love of creation over the expansion of an artist’s public identity, and through the act of expansive collaboration, the HIRS Collective brings We’re Still Here, an immersive album featuring over 35 musicians and vocalists across 17 tracks. The name of the game is world expansion, cultivating true senses of community, and making sure that an idea can never die because it will have spread beyond the mind and powers of any single person. Once you work with the Collective, you are the Collective.

NINA NASTASIA - Dogs LP [Reissue/2004] (Touch & Go Records)
In October of 1999, Nina Nastasia recorded the album that would finally document her well-seeded career as a local singer-songwriter in New York City. It was exemplary of Nastasia's style, delicate string arrangements, the restrained beauty of her live band, the deceptive simplicity of her voice, and poignant, life-wise lyrics. The following year, Dogswas released on CD by micro-indie label Socialist Records. By the end of 2000, the Dogs CD was out of print. But Dogshad a special grassroots effect on Nina Nastasia's music career, as fans of the record would correspond across internet message boards and zines, discussing songs and soliciting copies of the rare edition. The album would also mark the beginning of a lasting peer relationship with noted recording engineer Steve Albini. In 2004, Touch and Go Records reissued Dogs on CD and, for the first time, on vinyl. The vinyl quickly sold out and remained out of print for nearly two decade... until now.

NINA NASTASIA- Run To Ruin LP [Reissue/2003] (Touch & Go Records)
Nina Nastasia's rare gift of a voice is an intimate, winged presence that is able to either freeze or melt your heart; that can powerfully soar and twist, or brush ultra-gently against you, suddenly summoning goose bumps. Released in 2003 by Touch and Go Records (and out of print for almost two decades), Run to Ruin is the third album by Nina Nastasia. It was recorded by Steve Albini at Black Box studio in Noyant-la-Gravoyère, France and at Looking Glass studio in New York. Combined with the prodigious talents of her backing band and the sparse but lush arrangements of the instruments, the songs on Run to Ruin evoke haunting scenes of heartache, passion and a slightly seedy world. Nina's voice is at once delicate and intense, neither sweet nor harsh, it conveys an array of emotion moving between joy and sadness with just a moment's pause.

BILL EVANS TRIO - Interplay (Original Jazz Classics Series) LP [Reissue/1963] (Craft Recordings)
Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Interplay is a 1963 album from legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans, originally released on the Riverside label. Joining Evans are Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Jim Hall (guitar), Percy Heath (bass), and Philly Joe Jones (drums). This new edition of the album is released as part of the Original Jazz Classics Series on 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio and a Stoughton Tip-On Jacket.

BILL EVANS TRIO - Moon Beams (Original Jazz Classics Series) LP [Reissue/1962] (Craft Recordings)
Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Originally released in 1962, Moon Beams is the first Bill Evans Trio album with Chuck Israel on bass, following the death of Scott LaFaro. Featuring the tracks Re: Person I Knew and Very Early, the trio of Evans (piano) and Israel (bass) is completed by Paul Motion (drums). This new edition of the album is released as part of the Original Jazz Classics Series on 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio and a Stoughton Tip-On Jacket.

JAMESZOO - Music for 17 Musicians LP (Brainfeeder)
Jameszoo (Mitchel van Dinther) returns to Brainfeeder with a wonderfully cinematic album embarking on adventures on the fringes of jazz and contemporary classical. Much like in 2019 when he worked with the Metropole Orkest to adapt his album Fool, Jameszoo is back writing for a sizeable ensemble reinterpreting his youngest record Blind, navigating it into uncharted waters heaving with fun and beauty. Imbued with the same spirit of adventure and experimental outlook as his previous work on the label, Music for 17 Musicians is a new work written for and performed by the renowned ensemble Asko|Schönberg, percussion group HIIIT and Jameszoo’s own “blind” group: Niels Broos (keys), Petter Eldh (bass) and Richard Spaven (drums). The title is a nod to Steve Reich’s masterful 1978 album on ECM Music for 18 Musicians.

ANGEL BAT DAWID & NAIMA NEFERTARI - Journey to Nabta Playa (Deluxe) LP (Spiritmuse)
Journey to Nabta Playa is a remarkable collaboration between composer and vocalist Angel Bat Dawid and interdisciplinary artist Naima Nefertari (aka Karlsson). The album is a journey in sound and sisterhood rooted in the artists’ historical exploration of an ancient stone circle in Nabta Playa, a deeply sacred astronomical site in the remote deserts of ancient Nubia. Their historical research of the site acts as a point of departure for the story this album tells and embodies more than just a musical testament; it is a spiritual and sonic journey into a lesser-told piece of history. This 180g black classic 2xLP gatefold album comes with an obi and original art by multi-disciplinary artist Nep Sidhu, a painting by Kahil El’Zabar, and it contains a beautiful booklet including texts by Neneh Cherry, Imani Mason Jordan, Tej Adeleye and Dr Adam Zanolini.

MIDLAKE - The Courage Of Others LP [Reissue/2010] (Midlake)
Indie Exclusive - 15th Anniversary - Denton, TX indie folk-rock pioneers Midlake are reissuing a deluxe edition of their acclaimed album The Courage of Others. Originally released on February 1, 2010, this special pressing features two 180-gram colored vinyl records housed in a gatefold package. Alongside the studio album, the release includes a second disc filled with B-sides and live tracks from that era.

FAUN FABLES - Counterclockwise LP (Drag City)
Faun Fables’ most encompassing collection of “songtelling” to date: a true family album, etched exquisitely and studded with fine-hewed jewels of song. The richly lived-in atmosphere is a sonic world unto itself. Timeless folk music, warmly redolent of traditions passed down in an eternal recurrence that promises renewal – the a joyous counterclockwise movement spread over generation upon generation   

MATTHEW YOUNG - Undercurrents LP (Drag City)
Matthew Young’s brand-new Undercurrents, recorded intermittently since the late 1970s, collects eight oddly dissimilar pieces that somehow fit together perfectly. Ranging from heady synthesizer experiments to earthy dulcimer meditations, Undercurrents is unique enough to be called outsider while still occupying a musical world accessible to fans of many genres. It fits in perfectly alongside—as well as builds and expands upon—the work within and the ideas of his previous two LPs, Recurring Dreams (1981, reissued 2014) and Traveler's Advisory (1986, reissued 2010), showcasing Young's ability to balance the melodic and the meditative.

RACHEL'S - Music For Egon Schiele (30th Anniversary Edition) LP [Reissue/1996] (QuarterStick)
Originally released in 1996 on Quarterstick Records, Music for Egon Schiele is the soundtrack to a piece of dance and theater that was debuted by the Itinerant Theater Guild, May 18, 1995, in Chicago. Based on the life of the romantic and controversial Viennese painter, Egon Schiele was written and directed by Stephan Mazurek, who headed the group of performing artists. Rachel Grimes composed this music and performed it with two string musicians during the run of the performance. The Rachel's began recording in April of 1991 in Baltimore, MD, under the direction of Christian Frederickson and Jason Noble (Rodan, Shipping News). Subsequently, they met and became close friends with Rachel Grimes. In September of 1994 after a few more city moves, band break-ups, and general melancholy they decided to become a full time band and complete their first record for Quarterstick Records, Handwriting. Music for Egon Schiele is their second LP and contains a more stripped down and immediate musical focus. These songs are not sparse, they're beautiful. They build, they crash, and they make you wish you knew more about life and they mysteries it's holds.

SOISONG - Xaj3Z LP (Dais)
SoiSong is the bright, stunning, and short-lived project conceived in 2007 by Ivan Pavlov (CoH) and Peter Sleazy Christopherson (of Coil). The duo combined Pavlov's uncompromisingly-visceral digital aesthetics with Sleazy's decadent, dark and whimsical approach to creation. Primarily located on the Eastern Pacific Rim, the two named the project after the Thai word for 'two' (song), as well as the seedy red-light quarters (gloomy Soi's, or alley-ways) of Bangkok. Together, they developed a unique, elegant, yet rather cryptical musical language. SoiSong's debut full-length xAj3z is a digital reference to jazz: seemingly acoustic, effervescent, boundary breaking, digital-era entertainment where light rays and tropical heat are backed up by zeroes and ones. The album is a defining statement, and an arbiter of the possibilities in the (then-)developing late-2000s music landscape.

BRYAN FERRY - As Time Goes By LP [Reissue/1999] (BMG)
Bryan Ferry's As Time Goes By is a timeless collection of classic songs from the 1920s and 1930s, showcasing his signature elegance and sophisticated style. Released in 1999, the album sees Ferry reinterpret jazz standards and romantic ballads, including The ‘Way You Look Tonight,’ ‘I'm in the Mood for Love,’ and the iconic title track. With lush orchestration and a vintage, cinematic feel, Ferry masterfully brings new life to these beloved songs, paying homage to the golden age of music while making them uniquely his own.

BRYAN FERRY - Olympia LP [Reissue/2010] (BMG)
Originally released in 2010, Olympia is a masterful blend of art rock, sophisticated pop and electronic textures, showcasing Bryan Ferry's signature elegance. Featuring collaborations with legends such as Roxy Music bandmates, David Gilmour, Nile Rodgers and Scissor Sisters, the album includes the standout single, ‘You Can Dance,’ alongside covers of ‘Song to the Siren’ and ‘No Face, No Name, No Number.’ With it's lush production and atmospheric sound, Olympia is a refined and captivating addition to Ferry's celebrated catalog.

GRATEFUL DEAD - Music Never Stopped 3xCD (Grateful Dead)
Narrowing down The Grateful Dead's touring career and live performances to 60 CDs, 20 venues, and more than 450 songs is hard enough. Narrowing THAT down for 3CD and 6LP sets is a monumental undertaking, but with so much great music to select from, it's one of the most enjoyable compilations we've ever assembled. This nearly four hour collection contains one song (or two, or three...) from every show in the Dead's new road tripping boxed set, ENJOYING THE RIDE, which brings together music from 20 (21...) of the most essential venues in Grateful Dead and Dead Head history. This compilation is crafted with songs spanning the 25 years in the boxed set, 1969-1994.

Earthgang are a unique rap duo that have been making an impact on the Hip-Hop soundscape since their formation in 2008. Comprised of members Olu and WowGr8, the pair met as freshmen at Mays High School in Southwest Atlanta and were deeply influenced by their surroundings. Their music as Earthgang is a fusion of various genres, including R&B, Jazz, Gospel, and Funk, which they use to create innovative albums, experimental EPs, and masterful mixtapes. With a name rooted in the idea of bringing people together, Earthgang have gained a massive following, with more than 3 Million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 155 Million views on YouTube.

THE FALL - Singles Live Vol.1 78 - 81  (Bella Union)
Singles Live Vol.1 78 - 81 documents a particularly important era in The Fall’s history - it begins with the group that recorded the debut album Live At The Witch Trials and ends with the line-up that made Hex Enduction Hour. In between we get a number of interesting variations on these two seminal iterations. As listeners will hear, what is beyond doubt is that whoever took to the stage on any given night The Fall were always witheringly powerful. The versions of the songs presented here are a wonderful addition the group’s canon.

There are supergroups, and then there is Mad Season. The formation of Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Layne Staley (Alice in Chains), and John Baker Saunders (The Walkabouts) - released a phenomenon of an album, Above, in 1995. With over a million units sold, the grunge alt-rock record - to the underground and at large - was a massive success and this year celebrates its 30th anniversary.

For the first time ever available in record stores, the redesign recalls the mysterious, multi-layered sound of Flashy Python's Skin And Bones. The hidden covers revealed by die-cut and semi-transparency as well as translucent rouge vinyl pay tribute to the haunting yet playful spirit of an album that could (and should) have been another CYHSY record. The limited deluxe reissue is being released in the wake of the 20th anniversary of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the classic self-titled debut album, and it's celebratory 2025 worldwide tour. "Philly indie luminaries/friends (members of Dr. Dog, Mazarin, the Walkmen, and Man Man appear) to collaborate on a wheezy, dark song cycle-cum-inebriated stumble down South Street" Pitchfork "If I want to do something with a particular group of people, I will," Alec Ounsworth said in 2008. This project saw him build a barn studio behind his house and work with friends like Matt Barrick (The Walkmen), Scott McMicken, Toby Leaman (Dr. Dog), Quentin Stoltzfus (Mazarin), and Billy Dufala (Man Man). Skin & Bones emerged as a louche, loose album a woozy blend of barroom rock 'n' roll, trippy desert blues, and Beatlesesque melodies. Wurlitzer and Hammond organ weave throughout, alongside jagged guitars, pedal steel, and saxophone. Barrelling drums and Ounsworth's idiosyncratic delivery tie it together. "Amid creative uncertainty, I tried to offset personal darkness with an upbeat album. Flashy Python reflects that messiness a 'catchy' name for a ship lost in foreboding confusion."
